Electrical / CFLs
Compact Fluorescent light bulbs, commonly known as CFL's, are everywhere, it seems. Governments and Power Utilities are promoting them as a "green initiative" supposedly to help reduce energy consumption. Currently, the use of "regular" incandescent light bulbs is being discouraged and even disallowed, and sales outlets have begun phasing them out of their inventories. Very little has been said about the downside of CFL's. You may wish to be more informed about their biological and environmental effects.
"Dirty Electricity" is a side product of our electrical age, and our enthusiastic use of a generous array of electrical appliances and devices. Electric companies and authorities, electricians and anyone who uses electric current in their homes and businesses, need to become aware of the health impacts of electricity that hasn't been properly grounded or supplied.

IT'S RAINMAKING TIME
Dirty Electricity and Disease
by KIM GREENHOUSE on JUNE 10, 2013
Dr. Sam Milham M.D. M.P.H. was the first scientist to alert the world to the dangers of dirty electricity. In his book Dirty Electricity: Electrification and the Diseases of Civilization, he explains the link between electromagnetic field exposure and the rise of suicide rates and epidemic diseases like cancer and diabetes. Dr. Milham joins us to discuss the deleterious health effects of our current electrical system and the rapid proliferation of cellular and wifi technology. We will explore the first and second waves of illnesses from electrification, the evidence that residential electrification caused a spike in childhood leukemia, the low occurrence of cancer in Amish communities, the underbelly of wind and solar as they relate to dirty electricity, and other startling discoveries about long-term exposure to electromagnetic fields.

"Electricity supply systems, electrical appliances and a wide range of transmitters for various wireless applications generate non-ionising radiation (commonly referred to as "electrosmog") that can be harmful to our health, depending on its intensity. With its Ordinance relating to Protection from Non-Ionising Radiation, the Federal Council introduced a legal instrument to protect the population against the harmful effects of electrosmog.
"This brochure describes the main sources of electrosmog, assesses the associated risks, identifies existing gaps in research and suggests ways in which we can reduce our own level of exposure."

This is a guide for those in the planning stages of building safer housing for someone with environmental sensitivities, requiring a home free of chemicals, mold, and electro-magnetic frequency (EMF) waves.
listen to twelve samples of wireless signals from increasingly common sources
Each electromagnetic source has its own characteristic sound, which is demodulated by broadband-meters to allow evaluation of the sound's source. The sounds are the interference on a particular radio frequency, not the sounds of wireless. They are an audio representation of the patterns of the transmission, with every "zap" representing a "hit' of a micro pulse of radiation.

Port Hardy - another fire unreported
In the following April 2013 letter, an electrician states the specifications of these transmitting devices, Itron Openway "Smart" meters.
"Several months ago, BC Hydro was getting a lot of bad press about businesses with smart meter fires. Corix went back to every business in BC and replaced all of the Itron Type SS4S0D 3 phase smart meters that had power rating of only 72 KW. They now have Itron Type CP2S0A smart meters with a power rating of 288KW. That means the new commercial three-phase business smart meters are four times stronger than the old smart meters. An expensive upgrade for the taxpayer.
"The average new home in BC with electric heat has a 200 amp service. BC Hydro bought the cheapest and weakest smart meters to cut the initial expense of installation. Those of us with these meters most likely have the Itron Open Way C2S0D, with a power rating of only 202 amps. This power rating of smart meters is BC Hydro's worst nightmare.
"If we are unfortunate enough to use enough power to reach the 200 amp limit, and if an electrical motor starts up, the power draw would exceed the 202 limit of the smart meter for about three seconds. That is not long enough to trip the homeowner's 200 amp thermal breaker, but is strong enough to start a smart meter fire. These cheap plastic Itrons cannot sense an overheat condition and turn off . . .
How to understand them.
"When I first started researching electromagnetic fields one of the biggest problems I had was getting my head around all the jargon; trying to understand what all the different measurement units that are used to quantify EMFs meant.
"Most people have vaguely heard of terms like Volts, Watts, Gauss and Hertz but then between having heard of a term and having even a vague understanding of its meaning, there is often a big gulf. Here I hope to answer at least some of your questions . . .
Lloyd Burrell - ElectricSense
"Back in 2002 when I first became electrosensitive my doctor, in his quest to find out what was wrong with me, sent me for a whole battery of tests. One of these tests was a CT scan.
"I remember laying there as my body passed through the hole of this big white donut shaped device. What I did not realize at the time was the high levels of ct scan radiation I was submitting myself to.
"In 2002 I was just beginning to get a grip on the dangers of cell phone radiation, of WiFi and electromagnetic fields generally. I was learning about these things first-hand because I was suffering from their effects every day. So it never occurred to me that the CT scan I was undergoing was even more deadly in terms of radiation exposure.

"Wi-Fi: Is It Safe?"
Citizens for Safe Technology is a not-for-profit educational society made up of parents, grandparents, teachers, business professionals, scientists, politicians and lawyers concerned about the exponential increase in public exposure to harmful wireless technologies.
We believe a profound urgency exists to protect the unsuspecting public, especially children, youth and pregnant mothers from unsafe wireless technologies.
