Dr. Sam Milham M.D. M.P.H. was the first scientist to alert the world to the dangers of dirty electricity. In his book Dirty Electricity: Electrification and the Diseases of Civilization, he explains the link between electromagnetic field exposure and the rise of suicide rates and epidemic diseases like cancer and diabetes. Dr. Milham joins us to discuss the deleterious health effects of our current electrical system and the rapid proliferation of cellular and wifi technology. In the following April 2013 letter, an electrician states the specifications of these transmitting devices, Itron Openway "Smart" meters.

"Several months ago, BC Hydro was getting a lot of bad press about businesses with smart meter fires. Corix went back to every business in BC and replaced all of the Itron Type SS4S0D 3 phase smart meters that had power rating of only 72 KW. They now have Itron Type CP2S0A smart meters with a power rating of 288KW. That means the new commercial three-phase business smart meters are four times stronger than the old smart meters. An expensive upgrade for the taxpayer.

"The average new home in BC with electric heat has a 200 amp service. BC Hydro bought the cheapest and weakest smart meters to cut the initial expense of installation. Those of us with these meters most likely have the Itron Open Way C2S0D, with a power rating of only 202 amps. This power rating of smart meters is BC Hydro's worst nightmare.

"If we are unfortunate enough to use enough power to reach the 200 amp limit, and if an electrical motor starts up, the power draw would exceed the 202 limit of the smart meter for about three seconds.  That is not long enough to trip the homeowner's 200 amp thermal breaker, but is strong enough to start a smart meter fire. These cheap plastic Itrons cannot sense an overheat condition and turn off . . .

"When I first started researching electromagnetic fields one of the biggest problems I had was getting my head around all the jargon; trying to understand what all the different measurement units that are used to quantify EMFs meant.

"Most people have vaguely heard of terms like Volts, Watts, Gauss and Hertz but then between having heard of a term and having even a vague understanding of its meaning, there is often a big gulf. Here I hope to answer at least some of your questions . . .

"Back in 2002 when I first became electrosensitive my doctor, in his quest to find out what was wrong with me, sent me for a whole battery of tests. One of these tests was a CT scan.

"I remember laying there as my body passed through the hole of this big white donut shaped device. What I did not realize at the time was the high levels of ct scan radiation I was submitting myself to.

"In 2002 I was just beginning to get a grip on the dangers of cell phone radiation, of WiFi and electromagnetic fields generally. I was learning about these things first-hand because I was suffering from their effects every day. So it never occurred to me that the CT scan I was undergoing was even more deadly in terms of radiation exposure.
