" . . . I understand and appreciate that those who are not sensitive have a hard time believing that this is a serious issue.

"The Surrey School District has a strong policy to protect children who have nut allergies. Children who are allergic to nuts are now given a nut-free environment at school.

"Children who are sensitive to Wi-Fi and other wireless technologies deserve no less protection. . . .

" . . . If you believe Wi-Fi is a harmless and benign technology, you are dead wrong. I know this not only from my personal experience- how it has affected my life and career as an IT professional, in that I have no choice but to do most of my work remotely from my home office- but from observing how it has affected others. I know because of all the doctors and scientists who, on an ongoing basis, are speaking out about the lack of safety of Wi-Fi, which is not being monitored for health effects, and was NEVER pre-tested before it was sold to the public.

"Some mistakes are harmless, and some mistakes have serious consequences. Use of Wi-Fi in schools will have serious health consequences down the road for many children.

"My request is simple:

"I respectfully ask you, the PAC Executive, to please send out to every parent in this school, in the body of an email, the minutes and the link to the video that was shown at that meeting. In the interest of democracy and openness, this is information that every parent has a right to know. . . .

"Dozens of parents gathered at the Port Credit Legion on May 9 to learn about the potential dangers of WiFi in schools.

"The information session, hosted by Concerned Peel Parents for the Health & Safety of all Children, was prompted by the Peel District School Board's decision to install WiFi in all 253 of its schools by mid-fall. . . .

"Come this fall, the Peel Board stated in a recent newsletter that it plans on conducting "random, representative testing of WiFi levels in schools and work sites." The testing, the letter states, will be carried out by an external occupational hygienist to ensure that levels continue to be below Health Canada's guidelines for safe exposure.

"If the health concerns Havas listed fail to sway any detractors, she also points out that WiFi will soon be out of style.

"What's coming is LiFi -- they're actually using light to carry the information."

"The meeting also included presentations from former Microsoft Canada president Frank Clegg, who spoke on behalf of Citizens 4 Safe Technology, and Rodney Palmer from the Simcoe County Safe School Committee."

The STATEMENT OF ACCOUNTABILITY is a tool for parents concerned about the existence or installation of Wi-Fi networks and other wireless devices in schools. It is meant to be filled in by an appropriate District official and returned to the parent or group of parents presenting it.

"Here is an enormous, truly national issue deserving of your immediate attention - both as leader of the Liberal Party of Canada and as the father of two young children. In the attached report, which I authored, I have documented irrefutable evidence of the corruption and collusion that exists - and has for decades - within the Radiation Protection Branch of Health Canada which continues to put at serious risk the health and lives of Canadians in every province and territory of this country. Because of this corruption, all Canadians - including you and your family - are 10,000 times LESS protected from toxic pulsed radio/microwave radiation than those living in Austria, who enjoy the world's lowest (i.e., safest) "Exposure Limits." Contrary to what Health Canada says on their website, Canada has virtually the highest, i.e., most dangerous radiation "Exposure Limits" in the world! Even Canada's internationally-respected National Research Council felt obliged to state in 2010: "Many Canadians are being exposed to dangerous levels of radiation" and concluded that "a new biologically-based guideline is needed, instead of the dangerous, outdated thermal guidelines." And nothing has changed to date! You may know that in May 2011, the World Health Organization (WHO) classified EMR (regardless of source) a 2B ("Possible") carcinogen. Some of the more common EMR-emitting devices are: Smart Meters, smart phones, cordless phones, Wi-Fi routers, laptops, tablets, baby monitors, etc. - most of which operate on the same frequency as does a microwave oven! . . .

" . . . My hope is that you will grasp the urgency and enormity of this matter and that you and your party will make a concerted effort to bring it to the attention of all members of the House of Commons. Not only is EMR/EMF pollution a growing national issue In Canada, it truly is rapidly becoming a global health/environmental issue - as can be seen from my report! Only naked greed is driving this push for everything to be 'wireless,' when there are perfectly safe, proven, far more secure and far more robust technologies available, such as fiber optic cable. If not stopped, this has the potential to become one of - if not - THE worst case of genocide in human history!"

In October 2012, the AAEM issued a public warning about WiFi in schools that stated:

"Adverse health effects from wireless radio frequency fields, such as learning disabilities, altered immune responses, and headaches, clearly exist and are well documented in the scientific literature. Safer technology, such as use of hard wiring, is strongly recommended in schools.

" "In December 2012, the American Academy of Pediatrics, representing 60,000 pediatricians, wrote to Congress requesting it update the safety levels of microwave radiation exposure especially for children and pregnant women. . . .

"To install this system in Los Angeles risks a widespread public health question that the medical system is not yet prepared to answer.

"In October 2013, the AAEM is organizing an international medical conference in Phoenix AZ to teach doctors how to identify patients whose symptoms can be reversed by eliminating exposure to WiFi, cell phones and other forms of wireless radiation in the home. . . .

 "It is unlikely that there are currently enough doctors in Los Angeles County familiar with the biological effects of microwave radiation to diagnose and treat the numbers of children who will potentially become symptomatic from exposure to your wireless system should you elect to install it. Statistics show that you can expect an immediate reaction in 3% of your students and time delayed reactions in 30% of them. This will also include teachers.

"While technicians and sales staff argue about the validity of the dangers posed by cell towers, cell phones, WiFi and other forms of wireless radiation, it is the doctors who must deal with the fall out. Until we, as doctors, can determine why some of our patients become debilitatingly sick from WiFi and other microwave communications, while others do not, we implore you not to take such a known risk with the health of so many children who have entrusted you to keep them safe while at school. . . .

"Many of us have watched with great concern as the WHO website has changed from its original announcement of IARC's 2B classification of RF - EMF to its present dilution of an incredibly important message. The World Health Organization website now reads very much like the US Federal Communications Commission website, which is openly biased toward industry. It appears the website has been diluted in stages.  

"Recent comments by Mike Repacholi in a guest blog for Dariusz Leszczynski's "Between a Rock and a Hard Place" elevated my concern, and I have been in touch with colleagues in various countries to find they share the same concern that WHO is showing an undisguised bias toward industry. The world relies on WHO for independence. That was called into question when Mona Nilsson exposed Prof. Anders Ahlbom's close association as a silent partner is his brother's Basel, Switzerland lobbying business -- with telecom as one of the biggest clients. We questioned how many years Prof. Ahlbom and perhaps others had "held back" the science. It was a question impossible not to consider. . . .

" . . . Electrosensitivity is an environmental sensitivity that is similar to a peanut allergy or chemical sensitivity. The consequences of exposure to radio frequency radiation may be mild (headaches, difficulty concentrating, fatigue, nausea, dizziness, tinnitus etc.) to life threatening (losing consciousness, sudden cardiac arrest, promotion of cancer growth). A small percentage of students have mild heart abnormalities that can be fatal with exercise combined with exposure to radio frequency radiation. Installing defibrillators is not the right approach.

"How long will it take intelligent school board trustees, parents and teachers who would not knowingly do anything to jeopardize the health of students to recognize that microwave radiation in the classroom is a dumb idea? My scientific colleagues and I recognize the harmful effects of long-term exposure to microwave radiation and we simply cannot believe how quickly those who do not understand fully the ramifications of their uninformed decisions are deploying this technology.

"I ask you to watch two videos to help you decide if microwave in the classroom is a good idea. The first video provides you with information on the type of Wi-Fi routers used in the classroom, how they differ from the Wi-Fi routers used at home and what the science shows on how harmful they are: [ Wi-Fi in Schools is Safe.
